Superwoman puts that smile on and the world looks at her and says…
You make it look easy!
Superwoman takes that compliment and says, “I’m glad it looks that way. It’s not always peaches and cream, sunshine and rainbows, unicorns and glitter, but I’ll smile my way through it.”
Responsibility is something we take on and we just run with it. That is our role right? Take on the responsibility of those burdens the people we care about have. We stand there with our bullet proof suits on. Thinking we are strong enough to take the bullet of whatever is to come for that person. Eliminating their burden so they don’t have to feel pain or feel disappointment of any kind.
The weight of what we carry daily as women is heavy. Some of us are married, some single, some divorced, some widowed, some taking care of so much we can’t even imagine how we are still standing. All of the situations we could be in have their challenges.
Keeping ourselves so busy that we can’t sit still to even think about the weight we carry daily because if we did stop we would literally start to crack. We don’t see what it really means to break into all the pieces because we don’t always believe we can put them back together.
Superwoman, she puts her self back together. She takes the bullet but comes out stronger, leaner, faster. She is even more complete than she started after the bullets come at her, the car crashes into her, the punch is taken. She doesn’t stop. She never stops. She knows she’s going to get beaten up a little by life, but she knows she will heal. She knows everything she experiences is a lesson to learn for the next battle or obstacle that comes her way.
Superwoman knows she looks a certain way to others but she takes the time to breathe. To get away from her responsibilities. To take time for herself. Spends time alone. She leans on those she needs to for support and encouragement.
Superwoman takes care of her complete self so when people thinks she makes everything look easy…she smiles and thinks, without my village who holds me up when the burdens of life start, I couldn’t make it look as easy as I do.
Superwoman can. So can you!
